Dear Student-teachers (tgrp 8),
RE: QCE 520 LTA – Grammar and Writing} sharing of ideas and possible lessons...
1. I have set-up a simple blog (an achievement for a techno phobic like me) for the entire group to post and share ideas and upload clips, visuals, worksheets etc on the teaching of writing and grammar in a secondary school classroom.
2. The blog is aimed at getting the 19 of you into the mode where you will look at resources and quite automatically, think of ways and means of using them to teach GW.
2.1 It is also good to share and pull together GW resources in which you can all tap on when you have to go for TP.
2.2 This is a good direction to head towards.
3 This blog will be a resource pool `built’ by and for all of you.
4 During e-learning week, you have been tasked to surf the net and source for resources to teach GW, keeping in mind the LOs, key language features, skills etc as depicted in the EL syllabus, I would like you to consolidate your findings and propose suggestions as to how these resources can be utilized to teach grammar and writing. Of course, also taking into consideration, the level, type of pupils, language competency of the class etc.
5 So, would appreciate it if you post/ upload your lesson ideas with regards to the teaching of GW onto the blog after e-learning week.
5.1 There is no limit to the number of ideas/ suggestions to be posted by each ST, and there is no such thing as an insignificant idea, as such please after e-learning week, keep posting your ideas onto the blog.
